English Coursebook Dynamic Evaluation

English Coursebook Dynamic Evaluation is a model of evaluation consisting of a set of comprehensive criteria in the forms of a checklist to investigate the quality of the English coursebooks and to give recommendations for future revision. In the English coursebook dynamic evaluation, an SQRAR model (Survey, Question, Read, Analyze, and Recommend) is employed.

To support the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in preparing golden generations in 2045, the comprehensive criteria of the English coursebook evaluation should be used to cater the students with the current and future needs of materials in the English coursebooks. These needs refer to the relevancy with the Industrial Revolution 4.0, Society 5.0, literacy, character education, cultures and local wisdoms, online materials, and high order thinking skills to develop the students’ 21st century skills.
